Creating Change through Attitude

I wrote my last post in a moment of shock and dismay for the ongoing loss of life from gun violence that has been ravaging our nation. Perhaps my grammatical error is that silence is not the correct verbiage, more so it could be that I use "change" not "silence". I agree with so much of what has been discussed that we have been silent and vigil keeping for too many deaths.. We are a society that has rituals and there is an importance to these rituals but it does nothing to change the outcome of what is causing the deaths. While the leaders of our country are at a standstill on how to carefully move forward on matters of public safety, we are perhaps needing to speak louder and let them hear more clearly the need for change now. There are many who have become a voice before these tragedies, but it needs to build and continue to stare Congress down until the people can be given peace and resolve for knowing what wholeness of community feels like not the despair of funerals and gun fire in the media.
